STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 13 (UPI) -- Sweden's Prince Carl Philip has married former reality TV personality Sofia Hellqvist in the chapel at Stockholm's Royal Palace, following a five-year courtship.
The BBC said about 550 guests, including Princess Takamado of Japan and Britain's Prince Edward, attended the ceremony.

After exchanging vows, the newlyweds rode in a horse-drawn carriage through the cobbled streets of Stockholm where they were greeted by well-wishers seemingly delighted the prince had married a commoner.
The 36-year-old royal and his 30-year-old bride then returned to the palace for a wedding banquet.
