Aly Michalka weds Stephen Ringer in lavender gown

The couple met on the set of "Sequoia" in 2012, and got engaged in 2014.

PORTOFINO, Italy, June 9 (UPI) -- Aly Michalka wed fiancé Stephen Ringer over the weekend.

The 26-year-old actress married the 30-year-old cinematographer in a lavender wedding dress in Portofino, Italy. The couple arrived in the country last week to do some sightseeing before the ceremony.

Several of Michalka and Ringer's friends shared photos from the wedding on Instagram. Actress Mikaela Hoover wrote, "Congratulations to one of my dearest friends and the most beautiful bride @alyrenae78. Today was a fairytale."

Michalka and Ringer met on the set of Sequoia in 2012, and got engaged in July 2014. The cinematographer recently directed the actress and her sister, Amanda "A.J." Michalka, in Weepah Way for Now, which opens June 16.

Michalka came to fame as Keely Teslow on Disney sitcom Phil of the Future, and went on to star as Marti Perkins on The CW series Hellcats. The actress currently portrays Peyton Charles on iZombie, and performs with her sister as pop duo 78violet.
