Ellie Goulding says she set up Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris

LONDON, June 5 (UPI) -- Ellie Goulding claims to have played matchmaker by pairing Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris.

Goulding, 28, told The Sun at the Glamour Awards Tuesday that she set up her longtime bud and musician Harris with the "Bad Blood" singer because she felt they would be "brilliant together," and noted that their height also had some weight in her decision.

"I did play matchmaker, that's true. Calvin is a really great mate and he's so fantastic, and Taylor is such a cool person who I love. I thought, 'They're both really awesome and both really tall, they'll be brilliant together,'" she told the outlet.

E! News believes Harris -- a 31-year-old Scottish-born EDM artist -- to be 6' 5" tall while Swift, 25, is 5'10".

Since sparking dating rumors earlier this year, the couple has since hit it off, making their relationship official in April.

Matchmaker Goulding played Harris' love interest in a sexy music video for "I Need Your Love" in 2013, but that doesn't seem to scare Swift, who has officially introduced her new romantic interest to her beloved cats -- an important step forward in any relationship.
