Chad Michael Murray, Sarah Roemer welcome first child

LOS ANGELES, June 1 (UPI) -- Chad Michael Murray and wife Sarah Roemer have welcomed their first child.

The 33-year-old actor announced he and the 30-year-old actress welcomed a son Sunday on Twitter.

"Sry I'm missin @JimKellyInc charity this year in Buffalo. My fav event 2 attend, but we've been blessed with a son. Gods greatest gift," he wrote. "Sarah & I couldn't b happier & intend 2 spend many a day having family adventures & watching @buffalobills football! & also@chargers now."

Murray and Roemer met on the set of Crackle series Chosen, and revealed they had secretly wed in January. The actor recently told Bello magazine becoming a dad feels like "the greatest thing in the whole world," and said he plans "to sit back and enjoy this new chapter."

Murray is best known for portraying Lucas Scott on The CW drama One Tree Hill, and currently stars as Jack Thompson on ABC series Agent Carter. Roemer appeared in The Grudge 2 and Disturbia, and played Leila Buchanan on NBC sci-fi drama The Event.
