LOS ANGELES, May 13 (UPI) -- In the newest "Sound Advice" skit, Vanessa Bayer wants to become best friends with Leighton Meester to gain more fame. The Saturday Night Live cast member plays a media coach who helps artists fix their image.
Bayer's character, named Janessa Slater, sits down with the Gossip Girl actress to discuss her new album and their budding friendship.
Meester says that her album, Heartstrings, is about loneliness. The comedian then tells her, since they are both "killing it" at life, the two can bond over "being lonely at the top" together.
"People have pulled on my heartstrings and I know what that's like and it's just hard for me to believe people have ever pulled on yours. I tend to think that women who are naturally beautiful don't experience life," Bayer told Meester.
Since settling down with Adam Brody and tying the knot in 2014, Meester admits to never being the one to break-off past relationships with her exes.
"I've never really been dumped I guess, but I've been hurt," she said. "But the most heartbreaking thing is, I've just stuck it out for a really long time."
After hearing the actress' confession, the media coach decided to take advantage of her success, by suggesting they take tabloid pictures together and post about one another on Twitter.
