LOS ANGELES, May 12 (UPI) -- Courtney Stodden has agreed to sell her sex tape to Vivid Entertainment for $1 million.

The 20-year-old television personality was first approached by the pornographic film production company after word of the solo video got out in April.

Stodden initially threatened Vivid founder Steven Hirsch with legal action in an attempt to reclaim the footage, but signed her rights away over the weekend. She told TMZ she felt "painted into a corner" because a friend stole the tape and made copies.

In an interesting twist, Stodden will donate 100 percent of her profits to charity. The television personality has actively supported PETA for years, and is considering animal rights groups and "children with cancer."

Stodden came to fame after marrying actor Doug Hutchison, then 51, at age 16 in 2011. The couple's age difference caused significant controversy, and the pair legally separated in 2013 before announcing plans to renew their vows in 2014.
