Tina Knowles pens letter to Beyonce and Solange Knowles

HOUSTON, May 8 (UPI) -- Tina Knowles shared her love for the four women she considers daughters this week.

The 61-year-old designer penned an open letter to daughters Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, singer Kelly Rowland and niece Angie Beyince for Time magazine in honor of Mother's Day.

"I gave birth to two of you, but I have four incredible daughters," she wrote. "Writing this brought to mind all the ways you guys have been such a blessing to me."

"You are all strong, beautiful, intelligent and smart businesswomen," she lauded. "You are all kind, generous and you treat people well. You are amazing mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends. All of you have total self-respect."

Rowland moved in with the Knowles family after joining music group Girl's Tyme at age 11, and went on to form Destiny's Child with Beyoncé. Beyince is daughter to one of Knowles' four siblings, and vice president of operations at Parkwood Entertainment.
