LAS VEGAS, May 5 (UPI) -- Britney Spears is extending her Planet Hollywood residency in Las Vegas for an additional three months.

After rolling her ankle on stage during her Piece of Me concert, the singer had to reschedule a few upcoming show dates. But when the singer made a surprise appearance on Ellen Tuesday, she revealed that she isn't packing up her show quite yet.

The "Lucky" singer gave Ellen an update on her recent injury.

"Well, I actually wasn't doing anything that hard, I was just kind of bopping around. And I've done like eight years worth of shows. Plenty of shows! And I've never actually fell onstage, so it was really kind of embarrassing. But yeah, I fell down and I got up, and my dancers kind of guided me to keep going."

The incident caused Spears to tear some ligaments in her foot.

"So you can't perform for a little while," the host said. "Well, you could do a show in a wheelchair and choreograph it that way. Right?"

Finally the singer said, "The show must go on," admitting that she's signed on for three more months.

Ellen's entire audience received tickets to the show and they will be on hand to see the show take a new turn. Britney said while on air with Ryan Seacrest, "We're going to change up the show and make things more fresh and interesting going forward."

Maybe she'll add her new hit with Iggy Azalea, "Pretty Girls" to the track list.
