LOS ANGELES, April 29 (UPI) -- The third time was not the charm for Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon, who officially ended their marriage Monday.

In a joint statement, the ex-couple apologized for "hurtful comments" and embarrassment caused by the spectacle.

"Public divorces can be harsh and cruel -- we apologize to our families and friends for any hurt and embarrassment we have caused -- we have come to an amicable agreement and are moving on," they stated.

"There are private and personal family sensitivities to consider and we retract any hurtful comments made in haste and distaste. We wish each other and our families well."

Anderson, 47, filed for divorce in February one day after splitting with her poker-player husband. She filed for a restraining order in March accusing Salomon of abusive behavior, People reported.

The Baywatch star and Salomon married for the first time in 2007, annulling the marriage after only two months. They wed again in January 2014 when six months later, Anderson filed for divorce just to have it dismissed in August of last year.
