LOS ANGELES, April 24 (UPI) -- George Clooney doesn't take his 1997 role in Batman & Robin for granted. The 53-year-old actor still leaves voicemails saying, "This is Batman," and uses his characters' names as pseudonyms on the Internet, a source tells US Weekly.
"George gets a kick out of the fact that he played Batman," the insider reveals. "He's so proud of all his movies."
Clooney refused to use email until the new millennium and reportedly used his O Brother, Where Art Thou? character, Everett McGill, as an alias. Rightfully so, as the Batman-related email address of the Ocean's Eleven star surfaced earlier this month as a result of WikiLeaks' Sony hack database.
"He never trusted [email]," says the insider. "He was always worried about people finding a way to access his information." Clooney is said to correspond primarily by phone, especially with his wife Amal.
Maybe when it comes to keeping a private life, Batman really does know best.
