LOS ANGELES, April 22 (UPI) -- Kylie Jenner issued a response to the #KylieJennerChallenge Tuesday.
The 17-year-old reality star took to Twitter after fan attempts to emulate her extremely full lips went viral. Girls around the country shared videos of themselves sucking air out of shot glasses this week, leaving their lips swollen and and potentially bruised.
"I'm not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look," she wrote. "I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look."
Jenner has repeatedly slammed plastic surgery claims, and told E! News she thinks "big lips are awesome" in November 2014. The teenager reportedly achieves her puffy pout with lots of lip liner and other makeup techniques.
