Miley Cyrus to induct Joan Jett & The Blackhearts into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

CLEVELAND, April 9 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus is headed to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... as a speaker that is.

The 22-year-old singer will be the presenter during Joan Jett & the Blackhearts Hall of Fame induction on April 18.

"It was interesting to learn that they are mutual admirers," Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President and CEO Greg Harris told Cleveland.com of Cyrus and Jett, who performed a potpourri of the rocker's songs on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2011.

"They're great friends and admirers,'' said Harris adding that Nirvana's Dave Grohl and Tommy James would perform during the induction ceremony.

Also to be inducted are Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Green Day, Lou Reed Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, Bill Withers, Ringo Starr and the"5'' Royales.

Zac Brown and Tom Morello are also set perform together at the ceremony, which will air on HBO May 30.
