Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield reportedly on a break after 3 years together

NEW YORK, April 8 (UPI) -- Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are reportedly hitting the breaks on their relationship.

Multiples news outlets reported Tuesday the former Amazing Spiderman co-stars were taking some time off from their relationship, due in large part to distance. Garfield, 31, is currently in Taiwan shooting Martin Scorsese's, Silence, and Stone recently wrapped up a stint in Broadway.

"They had been fighting a lot and they hadn't seen each other. They have both been working but they weren't getting along," a source told Us Weekly.

Insiders told E! News the couple isn't calling their separation a "break" per se, but simply has been unable to spend time together as of late.

Rumors that there was trouble in paradise for the couple began earlier this year when Stone showed up sans Garfield to numerous red carpet events during awards show season for her multiple nominations for her role in Birdman.

The couple, who began dating in 2011, was last seen together in January.
