LAS VEGAS, April 8 (UPI) -- Blues legend B.B. King returned to his Las Vegas home Tuesday after a weekend stint in the hospital.

"I want to thank everyone for their concern and good wishes," King said in a statement on his Facebook page. "I'm feeling much better and am leaving the hospital today."

The 89-year-old musician was reportedly rushed to the hospital after suffering from dehydration related to his Type II diabetes.

King, who has had the disease for two decades, suffered similar symptoms last October, when he was forced to cancel eight shows.
