NEW YORK, April 7 (UPI) -- Kit Harington proved Jon Snow would make an awkward dinner guest Monday on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

The 28-year-old actor portrayed his brooding Game of Thrones character in a dinner party sketch on the NBC program.

Harington/Snow dismissed excitement for spring by insisting "Winter is coming," and made small talk by detailing his character's bastard heritage. He also locked eyes with a red-headed guest across the table before revealing his late love, Ygritte, was red-haired as well.

Harington has portrayed Snow since the HBO drama's premiere in 2011. The actor will return for season five come April 12, and recently told the New York Daily News the character hasn't changed since fans last saw him in season four.

"He's still the same," Harington said of Snow's response to Ygritte's death. "He's emotionally constipated in some ways -- I always felt that I couldn't connect him to the emotional side of myself because he's not a modern person."

"He's very much like his father, [Ned Stark], very withheld," the actor opined. "He behaves very much in the old world sense of what a man should be, and it's stifled him somewhat ... Like all the other stars of this show his world keeps being torn apart."

Game of Thrones is based on the A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R.R. Martin. The author released a new chapter from Winds of Winter last week, but the television series is still expected to outpace the novels due to Martin's slow production.
