TAMPA, Fla., April 6 (UPI) -- The horror film community is mourning the loss of actor, Tom Towles, 65, who died Sunday at a hospital near Tampa, Fla.
I just got word that our buddy Tom Towles has died. He was such a great guy and I am so grateful that we got to work together several times. He will be really missed.

After Director Rob Zombie announced the passing of Towles on Facebook, director Stuart Gordon later tweeted that his death was caused by a 'massive stroke'.

The Chicago-born actor played in variety of films and television shows through out his acting career.
Some of his most notable film characters were Harry Cooper from Night of the Living Dead, Larry from Halloween and George Wydel in House of 1000 Corpses. He also had guest roles in Seinfeld, NYPD Blue, L.A. Law, ER, and Star Trek.
