The 49-year-ol author revealed in 2007, after the seven Harry Potter books were published, that the beloved character was gay. When a fan tweeted at her claiming she couldn't "see him in that way," Rowling wrote back explaining that "gay people just look like... people."
Twitter user @anakocovic, who has since deleted her first tweet, later thanked Rowling for her "amazing answer."

Dumbledore died in Rowling's sixth Harry Potter book, The Half-Blood Prince. He was portrayed on screen by Richard Harris and Michael Gambon after the former's death.
