LOS ANGELES, March 18 (UPI) -- Kat Von D is facing criticism for naming a lipstick in her Sephora collection "Underage Red."

The 33-year-old celebrity tattoo artist launched her Kat Von D makeup collection at the cosmetics store in 2008, and included "Underage Red" in her new Studded Kiss Lipstick line.

Consumer Parker Marie Molloy pointed out the shade of red this week on Twitter, sparking outrage among many who called the name "inappropriate" and "creepy."

"'Underage Red' was inspired by my nostalgic experience of not being able to get into a concert when I was underage," Kat Von D tweeted in response to one such critic. "YOU should be ashamed of yourself for thinking such disgusting things."

Kat Von D angered the developmentally disabled community by naming a lipstick "Celebutard" in 2013. The pink hue was quickly pulled from shelves, and it has yet to be seen if "Underage Red" will also be removed. The shade is currently sold out on the Sephora website.
