MIAMI, March 16 (UPI) -- Teenage model Gigi Hadid said on Twitter Sunday she was insulted by a report by gossip blog "Ocean Up" that claimed she was using cocaine during a spring break event in Miami over the weekend.

"@OCEANUP you are the pits of the world. It's very sad that you need to go to those lengths for someone to maybe read your [expletive] blog," she commented in a tweet of a blog post by the site titled: "Gigi Hadid Snorting Cocaine At Victoria's Secret In Cody Simpson Snapchat Story VIDEO?!"

In another comment, the 19-year-old model pointed out that there is nothing on the counter from which she allegedly "snorted cocaine" in the begging of the video posted by the site.

"Besides for doing the supposed in general, I'd be an idiot to do that at a WORK EVENT in front of hundreds of people/press. I'm insulted" she wrote in a follow up tweet, adding that she steers clear of drugs because she takes pride in being a role model for young women.

Though Ocean Up did not respond to Hadid's comment, the site did repost her tweets in their own Twitter feed.
