Chloe Sevigny says Jennifer Lawrence is 'annoying' and 'crass'

LOS ANGELES, March 11 (UPI) -- Chloe Sevigny is not a big fan of America's sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence.

While speaking to V Magazine about her forthcoming memoir-art book, the 40-year-old actress said she found Lawrence "annoying" and "too crass."

Sevigny's remarks came as she was asked about actors with big personalities, something she was known for in her youth, but the actress now prefers "when a movie star is a great movie star."

"So much is about marketing and selling the product," she said. "They'll have a really peppy funny girl on the talk show rounds, and everybody adores her and loves her and wants to be her or [expletive] her, and then so many more people want to watch the movie or TV show. I understand that star quality, how much value that carries."

Sevigny goes on to say actress Angelina Jolie is a great movie star.

"I don't think I can be that, or just be an actor," she asserted. "I don't think I have the charisma. Which is probably why I never reached another level. I like Emma Stone. Whenever she's herself, she's really cute."

Sevigny's book, Chloe Sevigny, gives "a deeply personal illustrated chronicle of the evolution of Sevigny's unique style throughout her career." It goes on sale April 21.
