LOS ANGELES, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Madonna is over her feud with Lady Gaga.

The 56-year-old singer asserted as much in an interview for the March issue of Rolling Stone. Madonna previously implied Lady Gaga imitated her song "Express Yourself" with "Born This Way," but dismissed rumors of lingering bad feelings with the pop star.

"We live in a world where people like to pit women against each other," she opined. "And this is why I love the idea of embracing other females who are doing what I'm doing. It's important for us to support each other."

"The only time I ever criticized Lady Gaga was when I felt she blatantly ripped off one of my songs," she declared. "It's got nothing to do with 'she's taking my crown' or 'she's in some space of mine.' She has her thing."

Madonna lauded Lady Gaga as "a very talented singer and songwriter," and said she finds continued hype about the feud "really boring." The singer shared a photo from the magazine shoot on Twitter, and captioned the picture "#rebelheart" after her upcoming album.
