NEW YORK, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Karlie Kloss says she and Taylor Swift share a power friendship.

The 22-year-old model discussed her relationship with the 25-year-old singer Monday on Good Morning America. Kloss and Swift recently covered and shot a spread for Vogue, and the star credited their bond with making her a stronger woman.

"[It's] all about girl power," she said of the cover. "I think we both are very supportive of one another. I think that kind of friendship, whether it's with a sister or a friend, that kind of friendship is really powerful and it's been a huge part of my success."

"I feel lucky to have such a good friend in Taylor, but also, I grew up surrounded by strong women," she continued. I have three sisters [and] my mom, and I think there's a lot to be said about women supporting other women and the friendships. I'm lucky to have a friend like Taylor."

Kloss and Swift met backstage at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2013, and instantly became best friends. The model said she and the singer can relate to each other as young women who "work very hard" and are "very focused" on pursuing their dreams and goals.
