WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III announced his wife is pregnant with their first child with an adorable tweet.

Griffin broke the news Thursday with a photo of himself kissing wife Rebecca Liddicoat's bare and slightly pregnant stomach.

"BIG Thank You for making this Birthday a Special Day!!!" he wrote. "This year's gift will change Our life forever!!! #BoyOrGirl."

The high school sweethearts were married in July 2013. They became engaged in 2010 when they both attended Baylor University.
