LOS ANGELES, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Jennifer Lawrence didn't hesitate to cozy up to a boa constrictor for Vanity Fair.
The 24-year-old actress posed with the snake for the magazine's November 2014 issue in an homage to Richard Avedon's similar portrait of Nastassja Kinski. Style director Jessica Diehl and editor Krista Smith recalled the Patrick Demarchelier shoot for the publication's March 2015 issue.
"Jennifer has the perfect combination of strength, sexuality, and humor, and, above all, tomboy to pull this off," Diehl said of the shot. Smith added Lawrence was "very brave and nonchalant," until the serpent took a liking to her neck.
Lawrence last portrayed Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, and will next appear with Bradley Cooper in Serena. The actress recently met reality star Kim Kardashian, and stepped out with rumored beau Chris Martin at Harry Styles' birthday party earlier this week.
