Kate Winslet's 'A Little Chaos' gets March premiere date

"A Little Chaos" follows a female landscape artist who is assigned to construct the grand gardens at Versailles.

TORONTO, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Kate Winslet's period drama A Little Chaos will be distributed in America this spring by Focus Features.

The distribution company acquired the rights to the film after it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and plans to release the feature on March 27.

A Little Chaos follows a female landscape artist who is assigned to construct the grand gardens at Versailles. Winslet stars in the film as landscape designer Sabine De Barra and Helen McCrory, Jennifer Ehle and Stanley Tucci also have roles.

"I'm very proud of the fact that A Little Chaos found its North American home during its world premiere at TIFF," said director Alan Rickman, who also has a role in the movie.

"It's encouraging to see that the film resonated with both audiences and the industry in Toronto, and I'm excited for its release next spring,"

Focus will also distribute the film in Scandinavia. The Toronto Film Festival runs through Feb. 4.
