LOS ANGELES, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Actresses Julianne Moore, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon inadvertently joined the #AskHerMore movement Sunday night, by refusing to partake on E!'s mani cam -- a mini camera set up at red carpet events to capture close-ups of celebrities's manicures and hand jewelry.
When asked to showcase her fingers to the world in the mani-cam Moore -- the SAG winner for Best Actress -- told Maria Menounos, "No, Im' not doing that."
Similarly, Aniston said "No, no I can't" when asked to show off her mani on the camera and Whiterspoon was quick to trade places with Sofia Vergara when approached by Menuonos.
The actress' reactions are a perfect fit with the recently launched #AskHerMore movement in which fans request that television presenters ask better questions to their favorite female celebrities -- in addition to "who are you wearing tonight?" -- while on the red carpet.
How powerful you are in Hollywood is officially directly correlated to your comfort level with refusing the mani cam.— Catherine Piercy (@CatherinePVogue) January 26, 2015
Actress Jennifer Garner recently addressed the disparity between questions asked off female and male actors and stated at an Elle magazine event she had recently been asked how she balances work and family, while her husband, actor Ben Affleck, was asked about the breasts on his Gone Girl co-star at the same event.
Actress Cate Blanchett had a similar reaction to E!'s 360 Glam Cam at the SAG Awards 2014, and interrupted a conversation about her Givenchy dress to ask: "Do you do that to the guys?"
Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany also refused to have her hand walk the mani-camp quipping to Menounos she didn't get a manicure.
"A real deal girl, I love it," responded the E! host.
