NEW YORK, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Ruth Wilson takes care to keep her personal life private.

The 33-year-old actress said as much in an interview for Net-a-Porter magazine The Edit. Wilson and Jake Gyllenhaal were reportedly seen kissing at a Golden Globes after party earlier this month, but the star declined to confirm if she and the 34-year-old actor are dating.

"They link me to everyone I work with," she said of the media. "And that's because no one knows about my private life, because I don't tell anyone about my private life. I don't think it's important, and also, I want to protect the people that I am with."

"[Gyllenhaal is] adorable, a really good guy," she admitted. "We've become like brother and sister a little bit. We spend so much time together. We trust that even if we have a little [disagreement] ... we'll make up, and we'll be fine. I trust him implicitly."

Wilson and Gyllenhaal currently star as budding couple Roland and Marianne in Constellations on Broadway. The actress is known for portraying Alice Morgan on BBC series Luther, and will return as Alison Bailey on Showtime drama The Affair in 2015.

Gyllenhaal last appeared as Louis Bloom in Dan Gilroy thriller Nightcrawler. He is scheduled for a number of upcoming projects, including Southpaw with Rachel McAdams and Everest with Keira Knightley, but reportedly turned down the chance to play Rick Flag in DC Comics movie Suicide Squad.
