Sarah Roemer, Chad Michael Murray married and expecting first child

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Sarah Roemer and Chad Michael Murray are married and expecting their first child.

The 30-year-old actress and 33-year-old actor wed in secret, as revealed to E! News on Monday. Murray told the website he kept the nuptials quiet because he is "a romantic" and "family guy" who wants to preserve "that core" for himself.

News of Roemer's pregnancy broke shortly after word of the wedding got out. Murray's rep told Us Weekly the couple are "extremely happy and excited, and enjoying their life together," and requested privacy "at this special and personal time."

Roemer and Murray met on the set of Crackle series Chosen, where they portray Avery Sharp and Jacob Orr, respectively. The action-adventure drama premiered in January 2013, and was renewed for a fourth season in April 2014.

Roemer also starred as Leila Buchanan on NBC series The Event, and appeared in Disturbia and Locked In. Murray is best known for playing Lucas Scott on The CW drama One Tree Hill, and was previously married to co-star Sophia Bush from 2005 to 2006.
