Paulina Gretzky welcomes first child with Dustin Johnson

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Paulina Gretzky, the daughter of NHL star Wayne Gretzky, is the proud mother of a healthy baby boy.

Gretzky's fiancé, Dustin Johnson, confirmed the news to E! news in a statement Tuesday.

"Paulina and I are happy to announce the arrival of our baby boy, who was born in Los Angeles on Monday morning," said Johnson. "Both Paulina and the baby are healthy, resting comfortably and in great spirits."

Johnson added the couple has "received and plan to release further details in the coming days" and thanked fans for the "outpouring of love and support."

The 25-year-old model and Johnson have been engaged since August of 2013. The couple announced the pregnancy last September.
