Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Martin reportedly spotted on dinner date

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin were spotted together on a dinner date in Los Angeles on Thursday, despite previous reports that the pair ended their brief relationship last October.

A source told E! News that Lawrence, 24, and Martin, 37, met up for a candlelit dinner at Madeo, an Italian restaurant in West Hollywood.

"The two were very sweet with each other," the source said.

A source told People that they were "smiling, talking and very friendly."

The Mockingjay actress and Coldplay frontman started dating privately last summer, according to media reports. They were thought to have ended the relationship in October.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who separated from Martin last March, told Howard Stern last week that her ex "wouldn't date someone who wasn't great."

"It's his decision," she said.
