Gwyneth Paltrow sings Broadway versions of rap songs on 'Tonight'

Paltrow made her singing debut in the 2000 film "Duets" with covers of "Cruisin" and "Bette Davis Eyes."

NEW YORK, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Gwyneth Paltrow gave a powerful rendition of Drake's "Started from the Bottom" during her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Paltrow, 42, visited the late-night talk show to promote her upcoming role in Mortdecai and joined Fallon for a skit consisting of her singing Broadway versions of rap songs. Fallon accompanied Paltrow on the piano and the two performed Drake's hit, Minaj's "Anaconda" and Big Sean's "I Don't F*** with You" "with a Broadway twist."

Paltrow made her singing debut in the 2000 film Duets with covers of "Cruisin" and "Bette Davis Eyes." She also sang the eponymous theme song from the film Country Strong and collaborated with Tim McGraw on "Me and Tennessee," also from the movie's soundtrack.

Paltrow's Mortdecai co-stars Johnny Depp and will be released on Jan. 23.
