Tamera Mowry announces new baby's sex

The television personality and husband Adam Housley are already parents to 2-year-old son Aden.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Tamera Mowry revealed her new baby's sex Thursday on The Real.

The 36-year-old television personality and her co-hosts called husband Adam Housley on the talk show to learn the news. Mowry and Housley announced they are expecting their second child earlier this week.

"IT'S A GIRL!" she shared on Instagram. "Adam told me the gender of our baby today while taping #TheReal and I was so surprised and excited!! Love my co-hosts @therealdaytime for being so supportive!"

Mowry and Housley have been together since 2005, and married in May 2011. The couple welcomed their first child, son Aden John, in November 2012, and shared a photo of the toddler in a new blog post Monday.

"Adam and I are thrilled to announce they we're expecting!" the star wrote. "Ever since being blessed with Aden we have known that we would eventually want to expand our family. We're very excited and grateful to say that we will be welcoming baby #2 this July!"

Mowry came to fame as Tamera Campbell on ABC sitcom Sister, Sister, and subsequently appeared on Lifetime medical drama Strong Medicine and ABC Family series Roommates. She has co-hosted The Real since September 2014.
