"After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways," the couple said.

"We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best."

Dorfman first came to fame as a contestant on season 18 of The Bachelor, and returned to star on season 10 of The Bachlorette. Murray proposed after she chose him as the winner over Nick Viall, as revealed on the season finale July 28, 2014.

Dorfman and Murray appeared very much engaged at the season 19 premiere of The Bachelor earlier this week. The pair shared several photos from the trip on social media, but did tell People they put their wedding plans on hold to settle down in Atlanta.
