Vanessa Lachey gives birth to second child with Nick Lachey

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Vanessa Lachey and her husband Nick welcomed their second child together, a girl named Brooklyn Elisabeth on Monday.

Vanessa announced the news on her website Tuesday, where she wrote that her "sweet, beautiful baby girl" weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces and measured 21 inches.

"I have been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember, the day I was going to meet my little girl," Vanessa wrote. "A friend recently told me how magical today was going to be because it's the day I would meet my best friend. I can't even begin to tell you how it felt to hold her in my arms for the very first time."

Baby Brooklyn Elisabeth joins big brother Camden John, who was born in of September 2012.

The Lacheys have been together since 2006, and wed in July 2011.
