Amy Adams was 'awestruck' to meet Julianne Moore

"She's bold. She's brave. She goes for it," the actress lauded of Moore.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Amy Adams was awestruck when she met Julianne Moore.

The 40-year-old actress admitted as much of the 54-year-old star in an interview with People. Adams spoke to the magazine about a number of "last time" situations, and told the publication she was last starstruck with Moore.

"I met Julianne Moore for the first time," she recalled. "The Big Lebowski, are you kidding me? So amazing! And Boogie Nights? I could just keep going. I was pretty awestruck to meet her. She's bold. She's brave. She goes for it."

Moore will next appear in a film adaptation of Lisa Genova novel Still Alice. The actress portrays Alice Howland, a psychologist diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and the role has garnered the four-time Academy Award nominee fresh Oscar buzz.

Still Alice features Kristen Stewart as Alice's daughter, Lydia Howland. The 24-year-old Twilight star also had praise for Moore when she spoke to E! News in November, and declared she and the actress "truly have a connection."

Adams most recently appeared with Christoph Waltz in new Tim Burton film Big Eyes. She is scheduled to reprise Lois Lane in DC Comics movie Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016, and The Justice League: Part One in 2017.
