"You too @BudGardens Jan 8? Is Cosby only popular in Ontario Canada at this point? Do people still find him delightful after 30 accusers?" he tweeted later.

Apatow's comments follow the surging of claims by more than 20 women who claim Cosby abused then at one point in the 60s, 70s and 80s. The director even took the time to respond to Twitter users who called him out for being "obsessed" with the controversy surrounding the comedian and those who said Cosby is "innocent until proven" guilty.

Multiple of Cosby's upcoming projects, including a comedy special with Netflix and a sitcom with NBC, have been postponed and canceled in the wake of the allegations. Furthermore, the Navy revoked the actor's honorary title.

Cosby's attorneys have sustained the numerous accusations against the actor are false and are countersuing one victim who claims in a civil suit the actor molested her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974 when she was 15.
