NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- The latest development in the recent hacking of Sony pictures' database is the leak of a series of emails where the studio's co-chair Amy Pascal and producer Scott Rudin exchange raw thoughts about some of the most important names in Hollywood.
At the center of the exchange -- which was made public by Gawker on Tuesday -- is the ever-upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, which was dropped by Sony in November after multiple hiccups, and actress Angelina Jolie's upcoming blockbuster Cleopatra.
In the emails, Rudin warns Pascal that Jolie is attempting to get director David Fincher to helm her biopic, but makes it clear that he'd rather have him work on the Jobs project. At one point, he asks Pascal to "shut down Angie before she makes it very hard for David to do Jobs."
"I'm not destroying my career over a minimally talented spoiled brat who thought nothing of shoving this off her plate for eighteen months so she could go direct a movie," Rudin wrote in another email. "I have no desire to be making a movie with her, or anybody, that she runs and that we don't. She's a camp event and a celebrity and that's all and the last thing anybody needs is to make a giant bomb with her that any fool could see coming."
The correspondence also includes some harsh words for Girls star Adam Driver, as Fincher reportedly called him a "terrible choice" as the villain in the upcoming Star Wars film and for financier Megan Ellison, who is reffered to as a "28-Year-Old Lunatic" in one instance.
According to Fox News, a group called Guardians of Peace has claimed to be behind the Sony hack, which began in late November. Thus far, the hackers have released private information including social security numbers and salaries of multiple actors and some of Sony's employees -- including Pascal. The group has threatened to target other Sony workers and their families.
