BROOKLYN, N.Y., Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, capped off their whirlwind day in New York City with a stop at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where the Cleveland Cavaliers downed the Nets 110-88.
The duke and duchess of Cambridge, who's five months pregnant with her second child, sat court-side during the game, directly across from Beyonce and Jay Z, part-owner of the Nets.
A witness told Us Weekly that the singer and rapper walked to the other side of the court to introduce themselves to William and Kate after the third quarter. The PA system played "Crazy In Love" during their encounter.
Kate, 32, wore a Tory Burch coat and skinny jeans to the game, while William opted for a plaid button down. They sat next to Dikembe Mutombo, a retired NBA star and new ambassador for William's charity, United for Wildlife.
William and Kate also had the chance to catch basketball royalty in action. LeBron James -- a.k.a. King James -- scored 18 points for the Cavs.
James told ESPN earlier on Monday that it was "an honor" to play for the duke and duchess.
"The stuff that you read about, people like them are only in books growing up. And to hear that they're coming to town to see me play and they want to see me do what I do best, it's a huge honor," he said.
