Allison Williams joins Facebook ahead of 'Peter Pan Live' debut

The "Girls" star will play the title role in the upcoming live musical.

NEW YORK, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Allison Williams is expanding her social media presence as she prepares to star in NBC's upcoming musical event Peter Pan Live! Thursday night.

The Girls star, 26, will play the title role in the musical and on Tuesday she decided to create a public Facebook account to keep fans updated with "the stuff [she's] up to."

Williams has shared several Peter Pan-related posts since joining the social media site including a photo of her lunch prior to Wednesday's dress rehearsal and a post in which she thanked her father, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, for being a source of strength "in this week of Peter Pan insanity."

Williams will co-star opposite to Christopher Walken, who will portray Captain Hook in the musical event.

Peter Pan Live! airs Thursday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
