NEW YORK, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- The 1975 frontman Matt Healy got the rumor mill churning over the weekend when he revealed that he "exchanged numbers" with Taylor Swift.

"I met Taylor Swift, that was really nice," the 25-year-old rocker told Shazam Top 20 radio host Angus O'Loughlin. "We exchanged numbers. Let's see what happens."

Swift, 24, saw Healy and The 1975 perform in Los Angeles last month. She has also been seen wearing the band's t-shirt.

Healy said he would be interested in dating Swift, who's still riding high from the stunning commercial success of her most recent album, 1989.

"I mean bloody hell, what am I going to do?" Healy added. "Go out with Taylor Swift? She's a sensation, I wouldn't say no."

Swift, who has previously dated Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor Kennedy, told People last September that she hadn't dated anyone in almost two years.

"It's not like I've sworn off love," she said. "My life is just not conducive to bringing other people into it right now. I'm very childlike and romantic about lots of things, but I'm realistic about this."
