LOS ANGELES, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Angelina Jolie was involved in a car crash Sunday following a screening of her new film Unbroken in Beverly Hills.

The 39-year-old actress was reportedly returning home at around 6:30 p.m. when her SUV's wheels slipped on the wet road causing the vehicle to slide into the curb and pop two tires.

"The car slammed into the curb at a significant speed. Angelina must have wondered if they hit another car. It was pretty bad -- the tire exploded and it's amazing nothing worse happened to the car," and eyewitness told x17online. "I wouldn't be surprised if she has whiplash."

The actress alleged waited inside the vehicle until another SUV came to get her and boarded the new vehicle seemingly unharmed.

According to TMZ, Jolie's team called police from the scene as she was reportedly being harassed by paparazzi. By the time authorities arrived she had already left.
