Mick Jagger upset about exposed health details

LONDON, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Rocker Mick Jagger is "deeply upset" that confidential health information revealing the depth of his reaction to his girlfriend's suicide was leaked in a court proceeding, said a spokesman.

The Rolling Stones today settled a dispute with insurers over a $12.7 million claim for concerts postponed after the death of L'Wren Scott in her Manhattan apartment.

The Stones put off tours of Australia and New Zealand after the 49-year-old fashion designer's suicide last March.

Court documents revealed that Jagger was suffering from "acute traumatic stress disorder" following Scott's death and was advised by doctors not to perform for 30 days, which was reported in the press.

Other health details included information that guitarist Keith Richards wasn't covered by the $23.9 million insurance policy in case of "alcohol abuse, liver failure and/or disease and osteoarthritis," or for any condition related to his 2006 fall from a coconut tree in Fiji and subsequent brain surgery. Guitarist Ronnie Wood was not covered in case of "alcohol abuse."

"We are deeply upset that confidential medical and other private information about members of the band ... entered the public domain as a result of a U.S. court filing initiated by insurers," said a spokesman for Jagger.

The policy was meant to cover the band for loss of work in the event of a death of a family member or others, including Scott. Insurers initially argued that Wren's death should not have been included because her suicide was not "unforeseen."

The Stones began a new tour of Australia last month.
