'Cake Boss' Buddy Valastro arrested for DWI in New York

The reality star was allegedly swerving between lanes, and appeared intoxicated when pulled over.

NEW YORK, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Buddy Valastro was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Thursday in New York.

The 37-year-old Cake Boss star was pulled over for "driving erratically" in his yellow 2014 Corvette around 1 a.m. ET. Valastro allegedly had a flushed face with watery and bloodshot eyes, and failed a field sobriety test.

Valastro was taken to the 7th Precinct police station on the Lower East Side, and charged with a DWI. The reality star is expected to be arraigned later in the day.

Valastro came to fame on TLC series Cake Boss in 2009. The program follows the baker and his family as they operate Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken, N.J. The show finished its sixth season in February.
