TARAUNGA, New Zealand, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- New Zealand police have charged AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd with attempting to "procure" a murder.
The 60-year-old Australian rocker was arrested Thursday morning during a raid on his home in Taraunga, a city on New Zealand's North Island.
Rudd appeared later in court, where authorities accused him of trying to hire someone to kill two unidentified men. He was also charged with threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.
Rudd joined AC/DC back in 1975. He left the band in 1983, only to return again in 1994.
There's still no word on whether Rudd's legal troubles will impact AC/DC's planned 2015 tour.
