LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Brett Rossi was hospitalized over the weekend.

The 25-year-old ex-fiancée of actor Charlie Sheen, who also goes by the name Scottine Sheen, was found unresponsive in her home. Initial reports suggested Rossi had overdosed, but a source told Us Weekly on Tuesday the former porn star had a bad reaction to medication.

"Her hospital stay was due to an adverse reaction to a newly prescribed medication," the insider asserted. "The rumors that she had her stomach pumped due to an overdose are completely false. Scottine has always been an advocate for living a healthy, sober lifestyle and has never had a history of substance abuse in her past."

Rossi and Sheen, 49, started dating in November 2013, and got engaged in February. The couple announced they had called off their engagement on Oct. 17, but the actor has reached out to his ex-fiancée since her hospitalization.

"Charlie and Scotty have been in communication and Charlie still has a tremendous fondness for Scotty and continues to wish her all the best," Sheen's publicist, Jeff Ballard, said in a statement.

Sheen has been married three times, while Rossi was married to Jonathan Ross. The actor has five children and one grandchild, and last appeared as Charles "Charlie" Goodson on FX series Anger Management.
