LONDON, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- The duchess of Cambridge has often made headlines over her impecable style, and according to new reports, it all might be thanks to her personal assistant.

According to Vanity Fair, Natasha "Tash" Archer, a personal assistant at Kensington Palace, has been helping Kate Middleton select some of the looks she's been seen in as of late.

"Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it," a source told the publication's Royal Watch. "Tash helps source some of the clothes. She shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on."

The insider added Archer "has persuaded Kate to take some more risks" including opting for shorter hemlines and more high fashion garments. However, the source adds that Middleton always has the final word on her outfits.

Most recently, Middleton made headlines in the Alexander McQueen coat, Jane Taylor hat and black pumps she wore to her first official outing since announcing she was pregnant with her second son. The royal is due in April.
