LONDON, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- John Cleese had the gall to insult Taylor Swift's cat to the singer's face during an episode of The Graham Norton Show on Saturday night.
Swift, a self-described "cat lady," looked a little nonplussed when the Monty Python legend didn't coo adoringly at a picture of her pet cat, Olivia Benson.
Instead, Cleese started at the cat's strange ear mutation, consistent with a breed called Scottish Fold.
"Is that a proper cat?" he said. "Or is it damaged? That's the weirdest cat I've ever seen in my life."
Swift has two Scottish Folds -- Olivia Benson and another cat named Meredith Grey.
Don't expect any anti-John Cleese lyrics just yet. Swift seems to have taken his remarks in stride.
"Endless LOLs on the Graham Norton Show," she tweeted Saturday. "#Idieddead."
