Danny Devito to star in new One Direction music video

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- The forthcoming music video for One Direction's new single, "Steal My Girl," will feature an unusual cameo -- actor Danny Devito.

Though an odd pairing, both bandmembers and Devito seem to be excited about the newly forged partnership. Both Tweeted photos of their time together on set. The band's official Twitter account was the first to announce the news Friday.

DeVito also boasted of his latest acting gig, posting an unexplained picture of his shoeless foot alongside the members of One Direction, complete with the hashtag "#trollfoot."

Lead singer Niall Haron later posted a behind-the-scenes shot of he and DeVito discussing the script with Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Haron called the actor -- known for movies Matilda and Get Shorty! and TV show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia -- "Hollywood Royalty."
