LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Twilight star Nikki Reed partnered up with Found My Animal to create a series of dog accessories that will benefit The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The limited-edition pieces, which are being sold by online retailer Gilt, became available for purchase in early October. The products include a leather collar ($56) and leash ($62) that were unveiled at an event in West Hollywood on Sept. 30.

"As long as I can remember, I've been donating and volunteering for the ASPCA or local shelters. I couldn't be more excited that Gilt wants to shine a light on animal adoption, and I love what Found My Animal stands for," Reed, 26, told Us Weekly of the pet accessory line.

Reed said in September she owned two German shepherds, her mom's dog, and another three dogs she adopted, in addition to two horses and rat. The actress explained she liked to foster animal on the kill list and "rehab them."

"Puppies get adopted faster, so my priority is always adult dogs and cats," she explained, later adding that caring for animals is her passion.
