Rumer Willis doesn't appreciate being Photoshopped

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Rumer Willis doesn't appreciate being Photoshopped.

The 26-year-old actress recently posed for a Franziska Fox lookbook, and was dismayed when the images were drastically retouched without her permission. Willis told Elle the incident caused concern because she wants to promote healthy body image in girls.

"They Photoshopped my face and my body, and I wasn't okay with it," she asserted. "I didn't approve it. I was like, 'You know what? That's not the kind of thing I want to be putting out there. Girls who look at this shouldn't feel like they have to change themselves or have some weird ideal that you have to be Photoshopped to look good or look perfect."

"I really want to set a good example," she shared. "I learned an interesting lesson from all this and I have to be much more specific and say, 'Look, this is who I am. If you want me to be part of what you're doing, these are the things I live by.' Don't slim my arms down -- I worked really hard to get them to look this strong."

Willis is involved in musical theater production For the Record: Baz Luhrmann in Los Angeles. The live show features music and dancing from Luhrmann films such as Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge!, and the actress currently portrays Fran from Strictly Ballroom. For the Record: Baz Luhrmann runs several nights a week at nightclub DBA, and will continue through the fall.
